Oil Portraits & Graphite Sketch Portraits

Custom oil portraits range from $175 to $225 with one pet.
I prefer to do the framing myself and the extra charge for this is always "at cost".
The most popular unframed canvas size is 16" x 20" and portraits can usually be painted from photographs of your pet.


This very regal poodle had a favorite toy incorporated into his portrait.	Housemates - Golden Retriever "Cookie", and Doberman "Ava".	These beautiful terriers were so relaxed and confident.

With his camouflage collar and the threatening sky, no question this focused Labrador Retriever is "at work".

Purchasing Information

Prices for Custom Sketches will vary with different size and composition options.*

Your sketch will be done on acid fre artist paper, 9" x 12" or 11" x 14" (suitable for standard framing) and mats and shipping are always included.

* most commissions fall in the $65 to $95 range, increasing with addditional pets, people or props.

Custom portraits of your pet are available on almost any item you see on this site. As you are looking around the Critters on Canvas web site, if you see any item you would like your pet to appear on, just send us an email and we'll be happy to get information to you. Most work can be done from photographs you send as jpg's.
